I specialize in hand-crafted gifts created from reclaimed, repurposed, urban harvested wood. 

 

        First picking up carving knives & chisels 11 years ago, I found myself fascinated by the multitude of ways a tree can offer inspiration and comfort.  Working with a piece of wood is a meditative process for me, with hours slipping away as I endeavor to bring out something special from a cast-off piece of wood. 

 

        These one-of-a-kind pieces reflect the continuing joy a tree can offer, and even small scraps can be turned into something beautiful. Each piece shows their character and history through natural wood grain, minor imperfections and tool mark resulting in a unique tribute to our natural world.

 

        Many of my pieces can be found on sale at Russell Nursery in North Saanich (Vancouver Island), and at several art shows in the area through the year.
